Autoportrait fait pendant la guerre de 14-18
Huile sur toile
Photo Jacques Barcat

Siempre conocí a mi abuelo vestido con traje y corbata.
This portrait which is not dated is in a bad condition. The artist painted himself always looking in a mirror, and we can see a person, maybe a painting, in the right side of the background. This painting corresponds with no doubt to some permission during the war between the years 1914-1918. The hair is cut and the moustache is much reduced, but the face has an air of youth. I always knew my grandfather with a suit and a necktie.
