Jacques Barcat
This self-portrait is very singular: The painter smiles looking at himself in the mirror. I don't know any other self-portrait in witch he is smiling and I think that, for a naturalist painter, posing like this was a challenge. It is expressive, communicative, vivacious, and makes me remember the wicked, joking and kind expression that my grandfather had very often despite of his difficult character.
